2021 NFL Draft: Justin Fields tops Trevor Lawrence in QB-rich mock draft
No team in the NFL got better value in the 2020 offseason than the Arizona Cardinals trading a second-round pick and running back David Johnson for wide receiver DeAndre Hopkins and a fourth-round pick.
The Cardinals’ bold move to go after Hopkins has completely shifted their outlook for the 2020 season, but the work is not yet done.
Arizona doesn’t yet have a tight end to really be confident in going forward, and Kyle Pitts would drastically change that.
One of the most athletic playmakers in the SEC, Pitts is an early favorite for the TE1 status in the 2021 NFL Draft with his ability to play in line, split out, and make plays after the catch and in the red zone.
He moves around out on the field more like a receiver than a tight end, and although he’s undersized, the Kliff Kingsbury offense would help maximize his skills as a big slot.
