Special Teams: (3, 5/53)

  1. Younghoe Koo (K)
  2. Sterling Hofrichter (P)
  3. Josh Harris (LS)

It has been a revolving door at the kicker and punter positions this past season but things got better near the end of the season.

The kicker position started with Giorgio Tavecchio at the beginning of the season and then saw the Falcons bring back longtime veteran Matt Bryant. Both failed to impress the coaching staff and Younghoe Koo finished the season strong for the Falcons.

Right now the Atlanta Falcons have no one to compete with Koo, but expect them to bring someone in during training camp to compete. Whether it is a veteran or rookie I expect them to at least take preseason reps.  As for the punter position Ryan Allen filled the shoes well last year.

Competiton was brought in via the draft with seventh-round pick Sterling Hofrichter from Syracuse University. He started every game over a four-year college career and led the Orange in all-time punting yards. I believe he has a strong shot to win the starting gig in 2020 for the Falcons.

Long snapper Josh Harris has been a consistent piece on special teams for the last eight seasons.

Surprise Cut: Ryan Allen
