829. Pick Analysis. Alabama. Jaylen Waddle. player. Scouting Report. WR. 1

The Dolphins have back-to-back first-round picks in this mock draft. One pick after solidifying their offensive line, they find themselves a dynamic pass-catcher to add to their offensive mix.

Jaylen Waddle is an incredibly quick and explosive offensive playmaker who has massive upside at the next level. Waddle shows an impressive ability to release at the line of scrimmage and has legitimately elite speed that allows him to separate from the defense. He is a tremendous deep threat who is going to immediately demand attention from the defense at the next level.

His speed is impressive at all times, but his overall playmaking ability really stands out when the ball is in his hands. Waddle shows incredible acceleration, consistently getting up to full speed in an instant. He is also a naturally elusive player who can seemingly start and stop on a dime.

Waddle’s raw speed and athleticism consistently stand out on the field and make him a potentially special player at the next level. However, he is also a well-rounded receiver who runs crisp routes, shows soft hands and has a wide catch radius. If the Miami Dolphins can get in a position to land him in the 2021 NFL Draft, they should jump at the opportunity.
