Clemson. Jackson Carman. 1. player. OT. Pick Analysis. 879. Scouting Report

With one of their three first-round selections in the 2020 NFL Draft, the Miami Dolphins took offensive tackle Austin Jackson. Jackson was added to be their left tackle of the future and they continued to address their offensive line by taking Robert Hunt early in the second round and Solomon Kindley in the fourth. While they made significant additions to their offensive line, there is still work to do.

With their first pick of this 2021 NFL Draft scenario, the Dolphins continue to plug away on the offensive line by taking offensive tackle Jackson Carman. The 6-foot-5, 345-pound Carman has an impressive combination of power and athleticism that will immediately play at the next level. He is a big and strong man who consistently clears out holes in the run game and uses his quick feet and long arms extremely well in pass protection.

Carman gets out of his stance quickly and is extremely powerful at the point of attack. He has an impressive initial punch and shows incredible natural grip strength. Once this guy gets his hands on the defender, it is typically game over.

Simply put, Carman is an impressive offensive line prospect who has tremendous upside at the next level. The Dolphins need to work hard to get their offensive line up to par and adding Carman to the mix would certainly be a big step in the right direction.
