Taking a running back in the first round is not always everyone’s favorite flavor, but if the Jaguars move on from Leonard Fournette at some point in the next six months, the running back position will become a necessity for them.

They could do worse in the 2021 NFL Draft than Travis Etienne, anyway.

Adding Justin Fields with their top pick would be fascinating enough, but adding Travis Etienne to an offensive skill group that now includes DJ Chark, Dede Westbrook, and Laviska Shenault would give the Jaguars a dynamic set of playmakers to divvy targets and carries to.

Etienne is one of the most explosive running backs in the country. He can take any play to the house and provide that home run ability for an offense.

Leonard Fournette out, Travis Etienne in for the Jaguars’ running game.
