Since mock draft simulators have the Jaguars getting the number one overall pick, I’m operating under the assumption that will happen.

Even though I’m not personally convinced it will.

But if the Jaguars do hold the top pick in the 2021 NFL Draft, it’s almost a guarantee they will be taking one of the talented quarterbacks from this class.

At this point in time, Trevor Lawrence seems to be almost a unanimous choice to go number one, but what if that’s not the case six months from now? What if Justin Fields of Ohio State takes over the top spot?

It’s possible.

In his first year with the Ohio State Buckeyes, Fields won Big Ten Offensive Player of the Year.

He was dynamic all season long, beating teams with his rifle of an arm and elite athleticism and running ability.

He finished the 2019 season with 51 total touchdowns (41 passing, 10 rushing) and just three interceptions.

If he repeats that kind of performance in 2020 or even improves upon it, there’s no doubt he will be in the conversation for the number one pick in the 2021 NFL Draft.
