The Atlanta Falcons have three UDFA’s that standout amongst their 2020 bunch.

The Atlanta Falcons were active after the completion of the 2020 NFL Draft as they signed 20 undrafted free agents. Most UDFA’s will not make the roster but a few may have a chance if they impress in the preseason. I believe three UDFA’s will have a legitimate shot at landing a spot on the Atlanta Falcons 53-man roster this preseason.

Dan Quinn and Thomas Dimitroff have hit in the past on a couple of UDFA’s with defensive backs Brian Poole and Sharrod Neasman in 2016. More recently, 2019 UDFA wide receiver Olamide Zaccheaus made the 53-man roster one year ago.

Neasman is still on the roster to this date for the Atlanta Falcons, while Poole is a member of the New York Jets. Both players have made contributions for the Atlanta Falcons over the past couple of years and even Zaccheaus in his rookie season last year.

Of the 20 UDFAs the Falcons signed 11 players are on the offensive side of the ball and nine on the defensive side of the ball. The Falcons have a solid roster but they need depth at a few positions and that is where the UDFAs could make an impact.

Three standouts UDFA’s for the Atlanta Falcons are Tennessee wideout Chris Rowland, Vanderbilt tight end Jared Pinkney, and Oregon defensive end/ outside linebacker Bryson Young. These three have a strong shot at making the 53-man roster this upcoming season.

Two other players worth watching this preseason who I believe will land on the practice squad is left tackle Hunter Atkinson from Georgia State and cornerback Rojesterman Farris from Hawaii. Both players have a lot of raw talent and I could see them being long term developmental players who could one day have a chance to make an NFL roster.
