  • 3. RB Antonio Gibson, Memphis
  • 4a. OT Saahdiq Charles, LSU
  • 4b. WR Antonio Gandy-Golden, Liberty
  • 5a. OL Keith Ismael, San Diego State
  • 5b. LB Khaleke Hudson, Michigan
  • 7a. DB Kamren Curl, Arkansas
  • 7b. DL James Smith-Williams, North Carolina State

Top pick: Chase Young, DE, Ohio State

Just like Joe Burrow to the Bengals, this selection was a no-brainer. The Redskins got the player many believe is the best in the entire draft regardless of position.

He is capable of coming in immediately as a rookie and changing the 2020 outlook for this team.

Steal: Saahdiq Charles, OT, LSU — 4th round

This year’s draft class was really strong at the offensive tackle position, and because of that and a couple of other off-field factors, LSU’s Saahdiq Charles went a bit overlooked.

Charles has the athleticism to play in the NFL, no question, and he showed over the course of the year at LSU that he can hang with any type of pass rusher.

Overall Grade: B+

The grade is lifted tremendously by the presence of Chase Young at the top. He is going to make everyone on the Washington defense better.

No pressure, kid.

Antonio Gibson is an intriguing third-round pick and someone whose skill-set as a receiver and physical back is reminiscent of Christian McCaffrey. He’s going to need to provide Washington something as a rookie, and what he can give them immediately is a tremendous third-down weapon.

Charles could be the steal of the class for Washington but Antonio Gandy-Golden will be right on his heels. Gandy-Golden has Brandon Marshall-esque abilities as a big-bodied receiver with after the catch potential.

Keith Ismael looks like an eventual starting center in the NFL, and all of Khaleke Hudson, Kamren Curl, and James Smith-Williams should be able to provide depth and/or special teams versatility early on.

Hudson is particularly interesting as a speedy linebacker/safety hybrid type of player. We know how Ron Rivera values those types of guys.
