CB. 7. player. Scouting Report. Pick Analysis. Ohio State. Shaun Wade. 56

The Cincinnati Bengals go with another local product with their top selection in this draft class after taking Ohio native Joe Burrow in 2020 and get a defensive stud in Shaun Wade.

Wade would have easily been a top 20 pick if he had come out in the 2020 NFL Draft, but he returns to Ohio State for another season to prove he can be dominant on his own and not just in a loaded secondary with two other first-round picks (Jeffrey Okudah, Damon Arnette).

Wade has four interceptions, three forced fumbles, and 14 pass breakups in his first two seasons with the Buckeyes. He’s aggressive, physical, and makes plays all over the place.

He would be a stellar centerpiece to Cincinnati’s defense.
