New Orleans Saints

WR. Wake Forest. Sage Surratt. 15. Scouting Report. Pick Analysis. 29. player

The New Orleans Saints added Emmanuel Sanders to pair up with Michael Thomas in the 2020 free agency period, but Sanders is not getting any younger and they could need more reinforcements as soon as next offseason.

That’s where Sage Surratt, one of the most talented receivers from the ACC comes into the picture.

At 6-foot-3, 215 pounds, Surratt is built more like Thomas than Sanders is, certainly, and in tandem with Thomas he would give the Saints a pair of big, physical receivers to torment defensive backs with.

As a sophomore in 2019, Surratt reeled in 66 passes for 1,001 yards and 11 touchdowns.

In high school, he was the first-ever athlete in the state of North Carolina to be named player of the year in both basketball and football.

He’s a tremendous athlete with a very aggressive mentality at the catch point and plenty of after-the-catch abilities.
