Los Angeles Chargers

13. Pick Analysis. Alabama. Alex Leatherwood. 10. player. Scouting Report. OT

The Los Angeles Chargers have much higher hopes than picking 10th overall in the 2021 NFL Draft, but it’s not always smooth sailing with a quarterback battle.

Justin Herbert is going to be called on to start sooner rather than later in my opinion, and when he gets into the lineup, the Chargers will have some questions to be answered at left tackle.

Leatherwood has played a few positions for the Crimson Tide on their offensive line, most recently taking over as the left tackle for the departed Jonah Williams.

As a sophomore, Leatherwood started as the Tide’s right guard. As a junior, he was an All-American left tackle.

He would be one of the final pieces of the Chargers’ offensive line rebuild which began this offseason with the trade for Trai Turner and the signing of Bryan Bulaga at right tackle.

The Chargers’ defense is championship ready, they just need the offense to catch up.
