Season 1: Jake Fromm, Quarterback, Georgia

So far, Jake Fromm has had the most success at the collegiate level from those on the first season of the show, and arguably the entire run of the show up to this point. Beginning the show as the No. 3 high school quarterback prospect in the country, according to 247Sports, Fromm burst onto the scene in 2017 as a freshman, leading Georgia to a National Championship appearance, just barely falling to Alabama in a 26-23 final score.

However, from there it was a slow decline in 2019 for the now fifth-round draft choice of the Buffalo Bills that sealed his draft fate.

In his third and final season with Georgia, Fromm saw his touchdown total drop from 30 to 24 while his completion percentage dropped from 67.4 to 60.8, despite his yardage increasing a total of 99 yards. This put Fromm under the microscope and led to his draft stock plummeting, even with 78 career touchdowns compared to 18 interceptions and a 36-7 record while under center with the Bulldogs.

So, if the question is if the show pin-pointed Fromm as a top talent entering college and a possible NFL prospect, the answer should be yes. While the show’s first season was airing in the fall of 2017 and illustrating Fromm’s decision process of going to Georgia, he was busy at work getting the Bulldogs to the National Championship, a huge boost for the show.

At the time, Fromm was considered one of the hottest names in college football, which is exactly what the show was going for, giving them a one-for-one off the bat.
