The New York Jets crushed the 2020 NFL Draft, including the selection of offensive lineman Cameron Clark.

The New York Jets had an extremely impressive showing in the 2020 NFL Draft. They were able to find great value at important positions of need throughout the draft, starting with offensive tackle Mekhi Becton in the first round and wide receiver Denzel Mims in the second. Both Becton and Mims are extremely gifted players who should be able to come in and fill important holes on the Jets’ roster.

As great as the Becton and Mims selections were, the Jets found great value throughout the entire 2020 NFL Draft, with the fourth-round selection of Cameron Clark specifically standing out. Clark is an extremely talented offensive lineman who will be able to make an impact at the next level for the New York Jets.

Clark was a four-year contributor on the offensive line in college at Charlotte and was their starting left tackle for the last two and half seasons. He quickly grew into the leader of the Charlotte offensive line and a stable presence for the team as both a run blocker and pass protector.

He is an exciting 2020 NFL Draft prospect who has a stout frame, long arms and big hands. Clark has impressive build for an NFL offensive lineman and he knows how to use his body well.

Clark shows an explosive first step and extremely powerful hands in the run game. He consistently drives opposing defenders off of the ball and shows tremendous natural grip strength. Clark is not the most athletic offensive lineman on the New York Jets, but he has enough foot quickness to get out and make blocks in space.

Clark has the length to continue to play offensive tackle at the next level. His upside in pass protection is obvious, but his lack of athleticism could hurt him in the NFL. Is Clark quick enough to keep up with the explosive edge rushers at the next level? Only time will tell. Personally, I would just kick Clark inside and let him use his strengths to have a successful NFL career.

The New York Jets found an extremely talented offensive lineman late in the 2020 NFL Draft. Whether the Jets give him a chance to compete at tackle or immediately kick him inside, Clark has the talent to be an important player for them up front for many years.
