7. New York Giants: Ja’Marr Chase, Wide Receiver, LSU

I truly believe the Giants are back on the cusp of contending, at least offensively. Andrew Thomas was a great pick to solidify their line in front of Daniel Jones and Saquon Barkley while Evan Engram has shown flashes of what could be. With that being said, the group is still young and will need to grow together and adjust as a team.

For that reason, I still have them at 4-12. Even with all of that firepower, they don’t have many wide receivers which could make them one-dimensional at some points.

In the 2021 NFL Draft, they add the final piece. A wide receiver from LSU that has big-play ability and insane hands, sound familiar? Chase is the downfield weapon the Giants are missing and would complete their offense. He could go higher than this if he breaks out in 2020 like many are expecting him to. LSU has a long history of producing top wide receiver talent and Chase is panning out to be the next name added to the list.

There is one other direction I could see this pick going, and that would be the secondary. With the recent developments surrounding D’Andre Baker, there could be big holes to fill in the Giants secondary.
