2021 NFL Draft: Washington Redskins get top pick in new mock draft

19. Green Bay Packers: Jaylen Waddle, Wide Receiver, Alabama
Aaron Rodgers will be enough for the Packers to squeak into the playoffs with a 10-6 record, but after one of the worst drafts of 2020, the first round of the playoffs will be too tough of a task for Green Bay. Back at the drawing board for the 2021 NFL Draft, the Packers will need to do better.
They already have to deal with Rodgers being upset and now have to live with the fact they are pushing him out the door. So how do you reverse that? Give him a much-needed weapon.
Finally, the Packers draft a wide receiver. Rodgers has been lacking weapons for multiple seasons now and the Packers continue to turn a blind eye. Here they snag an Alabama wide receiver that plays similarly to Davante Adams.
Another wide receiver has been a need in Green Bay for a long time and they keep ignoring it, but if Waddle is there it will be too hard to pass up. He had a slight regression in year two statistically playing in two fewer games, but with Ruggs and Jeudy moving to the NFL there should be plenty of opportunities for Waddle to light it up.
