2021 NFL Draft: Washington Redskins get top pick in new mock draft

17. Tampa Bay Buccaneers: Samuel Cosmi, Offensive Line, Texas
Tampa Bay won’t play in the Super Bowl they host. Too much has to fall into place in too short of time. With that being said, I have the Buccaneers as the NFC team on the outside of the playoffs after a 10-6 season, just missing the playoffs due to tiebreakers.
Luckily, the Bucs will still have Tom Brady, allowing them another off-season to build for a Super Bowl run. The framework for success is starting to show, but there are still a few weaknesses that will be magnified for a team with so much hype.
Yes, Tampa Bay took Tristan Wirfs this year, but I’m a firm believer that Wirfs is best at guard. Taking Samuel Cosmi would allow the Bucs to move Wirfs inside while also creating a strong, young duo on the line. Having Wirfs and Cosmi would be a solid line for years to come, well after Brady leaves Tampa Bay, but also provides a stable front to prolong Brady’s career even further.
One knock against Tampa Bay in recent seasons has been their run game and Cosmi will be a big component in that as well. An athletic offensive line with Wirfs and Cosmi will not only create space up front, but lanes downfield as well.
