14. Arizona Cardinals: Marvin Wilson, Defensive Tackle, Florida State

The Cardinals are another team that is really close to getting over the hump, like the Giants. The offense has the potential to be one of the best in the league. Kenyan Drake seemed to work well with Kyler Murray last season and now they add DeAndre Hopkins for what could be one of the more dangerous offenses for the next few seasons.

Even with all that, I still have them at 7-9, mainly because of their defense. The offense is there and Kliff Kingsbury is perfect for the weapons he has, but he isn’t exactly known for his defenses. His college-style offense should shine, but it won’t be enough yet to overcome the defensive weakness.

Rumor has it that Arizona wanted Derrick Brown this year, but he was off the board before their pick, and the Cardinals still ended up landing Isaiah Simmons. So, in the 2021 NFL Draft they could get a redo. Marvin Wilson has a similar skill set to Brown and could fall to the Cardinals. They are a year later than they may have wanted on addressing the position, but Wilson and Simmons up the middle make for a very strong and athletic core to the front seven.
