Making an argument for Kansas City Chiefs wide receiver Tyreek Hill as the best receiver in the entire NFL.

To prepare for the upcoming 2021 NFL Draft class, I have recently been digging into some of the best players in the NFL. This feels like a good exercise to have a better understanding of what the best players in the league do to be as impactful as they are. In a best-case scenario, these NFL Draft prospects that we evaluate will turn into these top-tier players so finding the traits that make these elite players so good can be beneficial.

For this practice, the Kansas City Chiefs’ offense stands out as an obvious group to stud. Not only do they have the most explosive offensive attack in the league, but they also have elite players all over the field. Travis Kelce, Mitchell Schwartz, Tyreek Hill and obviously Patrick Mahomes stand out as legitimately elite players at their respective position and are all great players to evaluate.

While firing up a few Chiefs games from last season and specifically watching these elite offensive players, Tyreek Hill is the guy who consistently popped off of the screen. Watching Hill closer got me thinking, is he the best wide receiver in the entire NFL?

With his incredible combination of raw speed and quickness at the wide receiver position, everybody knows how great Hill is in the Kansas City Chiefs offense. However, I am not sure that he is getting the kind of praise that he deserves for his on-field ability.

Michael Thomas puts up the best numbers and Julio Jones is probably the biggest physical freak at the position, but nobody demands the same kind of consistent attention from the defense as Hill and he can still dominate the game at any time.

Obviously, having Mahomes throwing him the ball and Andy Reid scheming him open does not hurt, but I honestly think that Hill would dominate in any offensive attack. He is the fastest player in the entire NFL and has really grown into an impressive route runner.

Tyreek Hill can create separation against any defensive back and is an incredible playmaker with the ball in his hands. He is also the best deep receiver in the game and has tremendous contested-catch ability for a 5-foot-10, 185-pound player.

When we talk about the best receivers in the NFL, always make sure to leave room for Tyreek Hill. He is more than just a pure speed guy. Hill is an extremely well-rounded receiver who is also arguably the most dynamic offensive weapon in the league. He is undoubtedly on the shortlist of best wide receivers in the NFL.
