2021 NFL Draft: The first tank for Trevor Lawrence mock draft
The Carolina Panthers had seven draft picks in 2020, and they used them all on defensive players.
How about we make it eight consecutive to start the Matt Rhule era?
With the number of losses the Panthers have suffered at linebacker, it would make sense for the team to be prioritizing this position in 2021. Many thought the Panthers would take Isaiah Simmons if he were available to them at pick seven overall, but they took Auburn’s Derrick Brown instead.
The rebuild in Carolina continues on with Micah Parsons, an absolute monster at the linebacker position.
This guy plays at a completely different speed than everyone else.
At 6-foot-3, 245 pounds, Parsons has all kinds of speed, anticipation, and instincts. In his first two years at Penn State, he has 191 total tackles, 18 tackles for loss, 6.5 sacks, and six forced fumbles.
The sky is the limit for this guy and he would look good behind the new-look Panthers’ defensive front.
