Guard. Arlington Hambright . 57. Scouting Report. Pick Analysis. Colorado. 226. player

The retirement of a veteran such as Kyle Long can come as a shock to any team where they are dependent upon him for success. Before the draft, the Chicago Bears rostered players such as Rashod Coward and Corey Levin who don’t off much at the position. While I half expected them to address the position earlier in the  2020 NFL Draft, they take a developmental starter here in the seventh round.

Hambright was a solid player while at Colorado, showing solid strength in addition to looking solidly athletic when pulling and working up to the second level. However, he needs to work on taking better angles and oversetting in pass protection.

Final Grade: C+

Guard. Tennessee State. Lachavious Simmons . player. 57. Scouting Report. 227. Pick Analysis

With back to back picks in the seventh round of the 2020 NFL Draft, the Chicago Bears take another guard. As I mentioned above, the loss of a veteran such as Long can seriously affect a team, particularly an offensive line group.

While I wouldn’t expect Lachavious Simmons to come in right away to steal a starting role, he does add some nice depth to the Chicago Bears offensive line. Simmons has a lean build and moves fairly well because of it. Despite playing against lesser competition at Tennessee State, he showed solid strength and some flashes of sound technique.

Final Grade: C+
