2020 NFL Draft grades for each Houston Texans selection
Round 4, Pick 141
John Reid would not have been my favorite selection for the Houston Texans at this pick, but he would not be too far down the list. Reid was slept on a bit throughout the 2020 NFL Draft process, but he is an interesting player who has a bright future at the next level.
Reid is an extremely smart and instinctive cornerback prospect who absolutely shines as a slot defender. He always seems to put himself in a position to make a play and shows some strong overall ball skills.
Reid is also an extremely fast and quick defender who has the foot speed and change of direction ability to keep up with the quicker receivers in the slot. Simply put, Reid is a talented football player who can come in and play an immediate defensive role for the Houston Texans. Not a bad pick late in the fourth round.
Round 5, Pick 171
With their final pick of the 2020 NFL Draft, the Houston Texans took a shot at some upside at the most loaded position in the class. This wide receiver class is absolutely loaded and it caused some good receivers to slip down the boad. Isaiah Coulter has a chance to be one of those late-round value selections.
Coulter is a big and physical receiver who shines in contested-catch situations. He is not the best route runner or most elusive player, but Coulter has nice speed on the outside and also tracks the ball extremely well in the air. He is a true big-play receiver who can also be a threat in the red zone. Coulter obviously is not going to replace DeAndre Hopkins, but he is a talented receiver who could grow into an impressive playmaker for this team.
