Pick Analysis. Defensive Back. Julian Blackmon. 85. player. 46. Scouting Report. Utah

After trading up to snag Taylor in the second round, the Indianapolis decided to trade back in the third, giving up picks 75 and 197 to the Detroit Lions for 85, 149 and 182. With that new 85th pick, the Colts added a versatile talent to their secondary in Julian Blackmon.

Blackmon spent his first three seasons with Utah at cornerback before making the switch to safety as a senior and excelled in his new role. He proved to be one of the most dangerous ball hawks in the country over his last three seasons, coming away with nine interceptions and returning two for touchdowns.

His playmaking ability paired with his versatility makes him a valuable addition this deep in the third-round.

46. Pick Analysis. Quarterback. Washington. 122. Scouting Report. Jacob Eason. player

After landing some instant contributors in the first three rounds of the 2020 NFL Draft, the Indianapolis Colts used their fourth-round pick to land a developmental option, and potential successor to Philip Rivers, in former Washington Huskies quarterback, Jacob Eason.

Eason fell further than many expected him to but he landed in the perfect spot for him. He has all of the physical tools to succeed at the next level but needs to tweak his mechanics and improve his field vision if he is ever going to become a starter.

Learning behind a player as respected as Philip Rivers could help him get there sooner, rather than later.
