Grade: A+

Well, the Bengals got their franchise quarterback so why not get him a new weapon in the passing game? This was their best pick of the 2020 NFL Draft, landing a wide receiver who many expected to be off the board already with the 33rd pick. Higgins was the seventh receiver off the board after six receivers were drafted in the first round.

Higgins tied the Clemson record for most touchdowns with Sammy Watkins and DeAndre Hopkins at 27 and both were former first-round draft picks. Not only that, but Higgins is the first player in Clemson history to have back-to-back seasons with double-digit touchdowns.

Higgins has the size and speed to be a top wide receiver in the NFL and also has great hands and route-running ability. Higgins will be able to learn a lot from veteran receiver A.J. Green, who the Bengals franchise tagged this offseason.

Green has had health issues the past couple of seasons and Higgins can replace Green as the starter in 2021 if the Bengals decide to part ways. Cincinnati has depth at the position with Tyler Boyd, John Ross III and Auden Tate rounding out their depth chart.

player. 56. Wyoming. Logan Wilson. 3. Scouting Report. Pick Analysis. LB

Grade: B-

The Cincinnati Bengals turn towards the defensive side of the ball for four of their next five picks in the 2020 NFL Draft. In round three, the Bengals took Logan Wilson, an inside linebacker from Wyoming with the 65th overall selection.

At Wyoming, Wilson performed well putting up solid numbers all four seasons and totaling over 90 tackles every year. He is great at getting behind the line of scrimmage and stopping the run and getting hits on the quarterback.

Wilson will have to compete with veteran Josh Bynes and Hardy Nickerson for the starting middle linebacker spot. Bynes brings years of experience playing in different defenses but is a fringe starter at best. He can hold down the starting gig for a season if Wilson is not ready to breakthrough by the end of the preseason.

As for Nickerson he is the only middle linebacker on this roster from a year ago and only managed to play seven games. His stats were not impressive and could see himself as the third guy on the depth chart.
