2020 NFL Draft: Green Bay Packers post-draft grades
With the 236th overall pick of the 2020 NFL Draft, the Green Bay Packers added a big safety prospect out of TCU in Vernon Scott. Listed at 6-foot-2, Scott had limited production with the Horned Frogs, although, he did have a pick-six off of Jalen Hurts last season, showcasing his ability to make the occasional play on the ball.
While a relatively unknown prospect, Scott has the length and physical build that make him an intriguing developmental option for the Packers.
Grade: C
After a draft full of head-scratching decisions, the nightmare that was the Green Bay Packers 2020 NFL Draft class came to a close with the team taking Jonathan Garvin with the 242nd pick.
Garvin was a disruptive edge presence for the Miami Hurricanes as he tallied 29 tackles for a loss and 12.5 sacks in his career. He has the length and power that the Packers like in their 3-4 edge rushers but needs to develop a better plan of attack when getting after passers in the NFL.
After making so many questionable decisions to this point, this is actually a nice way to finish things off for Green Bay.
