2020 NFL Draft: Buffalo Bills post-draft grades and analysis
By Tyler Kirk
The Buffalo Bills stick with the theme to this draft and get an absolute steal in the seventh round. I had Dane Jackson pegged right around the late fourth to early fifth round. The Buffalo Bills stick to their draft board and address a need at the same time.
Jackson is known for his competitive attitude and willingness to do what the coaches ask of him. I think that Jackson does a good job in coverage but needs to refine his technique at the next level. Jackson also needs to gain strength as he makes his transition to the NFL. I think that if Jackson can improve on his discipline in coverage and gain the strength he needs, he can develop into a key role player for the Buffalo Bills.
Early on in his career, I can see him contributing to special teams and being a good reserve player.
Final Grade: B+
I think that overall the Buffalo Bills did a fantastic job taking the best player available while addressing positions of need. Buffalo Bills fans should be ecstatic with the results over draft weekend. As we look forward to the 2020 NFL season the Buffalo Bills have put themselves in prime position to win the AFC East division.
I also think with what they did in free agency, as well as the draft, they have put themselves in the conversation to compete with the powerhouse teams in the AFC such as the Kansas City Chiefs, Baltimore Ravens, New England Patriots and the Tennessee Titans. Overall, the Buffalo Bills get an A grade for the 2020 NFL Draft and we should all be excited to see the finished product on the field this upcoming season.
