Scouting Report. 167. Pick Analysis. Quarterback . Georgia. Jake Fromm. player. 16

The Buffalo Bills got another player who was supposed to be taken a lot higher than where he was selected. Throughout the offseason, mock drafts showed Jake Fromm going as early as the second round, and the majority of them had him in the third.

I love the value the Buffalo Bills got with this selection. Fromm is the total opposite of what they already have in Josh Allen. Allen has an extremely strong arm but lacks anticipation on his throws, while Fromm doesn’t have a good arm but is very accurate and does a great job anticipating throws.

Fromm comes from a Georgia program where he started three years and almost won a National Championship. The Buffalo Bills addressed the need of a backup quarterback and in the meantime, they have a young player who is very smart and could be developed a few years down the road.

As the draft started to unfold I could just see Fromm’s name there at the top of the board and I was wondering why no teams were taking him. Were they scared of the arm strength? Teams were taking other quarterbacks that weren’t nearly as good as Fromm and the Buffalo Bills came in and took him.

Overall, I love this pick for the Bills from a value standpoint, also adding another talented quarterback to the team.
