Wide Receiver . 128. player. Scouting Report. Pick Analysis. UCF. Gabriel Davis. 16

The Buffalo Bills selected Gabriel Davis in the fourth-round in the 2020 NFL Draft. Davis is an outstanding receiver who high-points the ball. He does an excellent job giving the quarterback a big window to throw with his six-foot-two frame.

Davis is the type of receiver I thought the Bills might start to look to add to their team. Davis brings height and length to the Bills receiver core. With receivers such as Stefon Diggs, John Brown and Cole Beasley, the Buffalo Bills looked to add bigger targets for Josh Allen.

This pick was right around the range I figured Davis would go, but I do truly love the upside. Davis is a very crafty route runner and can get off the line quickly. Davis has an excellent set of hands and also brings some strength to his game. While Davis won’t kill you with speed, he knows how to get open while using his frame to shield out defenders.

I like the pick for the Buffalo Bills drafting a position of need. I do think there were better receivers available for the team at this spot but the Bills got exactly what they need. I think that Davis competes for playing time early and gives Josh Allen a long target on deep throws.

Final Grade: B
