The Tennessee Titans needed to add some depth to their secondary and took advantage of the depth in this class with Kristian Fulton in late round two.

The Tennessee Titans lost quite a bit of production with Logan Ryan hitting the free agent market after their surprising 2020 playoff run.

Despite the fact that Logan Ryan is still unsigned as a free agent, the Titans appear to have moved on and are moving forward with the selection of LSU cornerback Kristian Fulton.

Fulton missed some valuable time on task at LSU when he allegedly tried to get someone else’s urine for a PED sample, but he became a very good cornerback over the last two years for the Tigers.

At times, he was dominant.

Fulton has a great feel for the game and he’s definitely got size and athleticism.

Quite frankly, if the Titans had taken Kristian Fulton in round one and Isaiah Oliver at this point in the second round, I don’t know that anyone would have batted an eye.

There was plenty of fanfare surrounding Fulton in the lead up to the 2020 NFL Draft but for whatever reasons, teams decided to stay away from him until the bottom of the second round.

There were plenty of analysts who thought Fulton could be a top 25 player in this class.

Over the last two seasons, Fulton had 20 pass breakups and two interceptions. His ball skills are definitely there but he needs to turn some more of those PBUs into INTs.

In his time at LSU, Fulton allowed just a 40 percent completion rate on passes thrown his direction. There’s no question this guy is tough to throw against but he’s going to need some seasoning to make an impact as a starter in the NFL.

The Titans should be a good team for Fulton to play for as he excels in press man coverage and loves working on an island matching receivers step-for-step.
