The rest of the NFL let the Baltimore Ravens get Ohio State’s 2,000-yard rusher JK Dobbins, who will be their featured back before long.

Great job, rest of the NFL. You let the Baltimore Ravens, already the league’s most dynamic rushing attack, add Ohio State’s JK Dobbins.

Dobbins lasted to the bottom half of the second round because of the depreciated value of running backs in the draft and perhaps some overthinking on the part of other teams, but make no mistake he provides incredible value here.

Dobbins ran for over 2,000 yards this past season at Ohio State and he was one of the most impressive and improved players on a roster full of NFL talent.

Dobbins will certainly play as a rookie in Baltimore with Lamar Jackson, Mark Ingram, and Justice Hill. He should eventually take over as the team’s featured back along with Jackson at the QB.

The Ravens last year ran for just under 3,300 yards, obviously the best rushing attack in the NFL and the highest-scoring offense.

How did the rest of the NFL let Dobbins get to them at pick 55 overall? That will be a huge mystery all throughout the 2020 season, I imagine.

If you’re a dynasty fantasy football player, make yourself look smart and take this guy.

Dobbins has vision, power, acceleration, and some of the best vision of any back I watched in this year’s class. He is also a scoring machine. He had 21 rushing touchdowns in his final season with Ohio State, and also has proven himself a very capable receiving threat.

The Ravens have so many picks in this draft and while they certainly have roster needs, the strategy to enhance a strength is one that is not used often enough and is part of the reason why the Ravens are so good just about all of the time.

Dobbins is a great value in the second round and it’s going to seem really unfair that Baltimore was able to get him late in round two when they eventually all hit the field.
