53. Scouting Report. Pick Analysis. Logan Wilson . 3a. player. Linebacker. Wyoming

Like Xavier McKinney, Logan Wilson does it all on the defensive side of the football and is my favorite true MIKE linebacker prospect in the 2020 NFL Draft. He would be the perfect replacement for Joe Schobert, who the Cleveland Browns lost in free agency.

With experience as a cornerback, Wilson excels in coverage, something that is very important in today’s NFL and what makes him possibly even better than Schobert. He is very sound in man coverage and has outstanding instincts in zone. He totaled 14 career pass break-ups and 10 career interceptions, showing his prowess in coverage.

But Wilson was also an absolute force against the run, totaling over 400 total tackles in his four-year career at Wyoming. He is also aggressive and effective downhill, with 34.5 tackles for loss and seven career sacks.

Wilson was a four-year starter and three-year captain for the Cowboys and would bring that leadership to the Cleveland Browns that they are missing now without Schobert. With three career defensive touchdowns and five forced fumbles to go along with his 10 picks, it’s clear that Wilson is a high-level playmaker.

Wilson would step in and be a starter from day one in the middle of the Cleveland Browns defense and would be a real steal in the third round of the 2020 NFL Draft.

Scouting Report. Pick Analysis. Defensive End. Bradlee Anae. 3b. player. 53. Utah

Bradlee Anae was a force for Utah with a relentless motor and great sack production in college. His 29.5 sacks and 40 tackles for loss as a penetrator would be a welcomed addition as a potential pair for Myles Garrett.

Anae stood up a lot on the edge at Utah but has the makings to be a very solid 4-3 defensive end. Anae is effective whether he is heads up against a blocker or shooting a gap, using his hands and the desired blend of power and speed to get into the backfield.

While he doesn’t quite have the ideal length and height of a true edge rusher, Anae has the skills, instincts and motor to be successful. He is a passionate and aggressive player on the field and a vocal leader in the locker room.

Bringing in a player like Anae in the 2020 NFL Draft would make for a smooth transition across from Garrett once Olivier Vernon’s contract is up at the end of this season. In the meantime, Anae could continue to grow and develop his arsenal of pass rush moves and would provide solid depth on the edge, something that the Cleveland Browns severely lacked in 2019.
