Taking a look at five late-round sleeper prospects who the Seattle Seahawks should target on Day 3 of the 2020 NFL Draft.

Seattle Seahawks general manager John Schneider is the master of trade backs. With nine selections in the 2020 NFL Draft, they could fill some holes that could help improve their chances of furthering the playoff success to get them to a Super Bowl.

Their top five needs are still at defensive line, offensive line, wide receiver, running back and cornerback. However, there is currently no backup to Russell Wilson and some of these needs could be addressed on day three. Seattle typical drafts with the measurables at certain positions and that will lead to some surprising selections. Here are some sleepers at a few positions they could target in the latter half of the draft.

QB- Bryce Perkins, Virginia

Despite not being invited to the Senior Bowl or the Scouting Combine, I think Bryce Perkins has enough traits to get drafted. He had 68 total touchdowns in his two-year career with Virginia, as a scrambling quarterback, and scampered into the endzone 11 times in 2019. He started at Arizona State in 2015 but redshirted after a season-ending neck injury. In 2017, Perkins transferred to Arizona Western College (JUCO) before transferring to Virginia in 2018.

Before the 2018 season, Perkins was pronounced as the starter and set a school record in total offense. The 6-foot-3, 215-pound senior threw for over 3,500 yards and 22 touchdowns with 12 interceptions last season. With his rushing skill set, he can develop his mechanics behind Wilson as the backup or camp arm at the very least and will compete for the backup job.
