2020 NFL Draft: Kansas City Chiefs late-round targets feature defense, RB
Defense
1. David Woodward, LB, Utah State
The linebacker position is one of great need for the Kansas City Chiefs, especially one with decent athleticism. David Woodward is one of the more underrated prospects at linebacker in the 2020 NFL Draft. Woodward brings a great football IQ to the table and is solid backing up into coverage. He needs to work on getting off blocks, but he’d be one of the better linebackers on the roster on day one.
2. Derrek Tuszka, Edge, North Dakota State
It was stated earlier, but finding another edge presence opposite Frank Clark would be great, especially because Alex Okafor can’t stay healthy and Tanoh Kpassagnon is more of a tweener. Derrek Tuszka is a very good athlete who can bend around the edge. He was extremely productive in his final season with the Bison, logging 13.5 sacks and 19 tackles for loss. Tuszka also flashes good hand usage on tape and can be a rotational player to start out.
3. John Reid, CB, Penn State
Last on the list is a corner, which is a big need for the Chiefs. John Reid is an intriguing prospect at the position. Reid has very good in coverage ability in both man and zone and will attack the catch point and be competitive throughout the route. He also has the versatility to play in the slot and on the boundary.
