The Kansas City Chiefs only have two picks on day three, but they can still find impact players late in the 2020 NFL Draft.

The 2020 NFL Draft is almost here, and it’s nearly time for the defending Super Bowl champs to finish their reload. The Kansas City Chiefs are the world champs, but as the offseason comes to a close with the draft, the targets on their back will show. Every team will want to beat them and send them packing, so it’s about continuing to innovate and build the best team possible.

The Chiefs only have five picks in the 2020 draft, but with top talent in spurts across the roster, it’s going to be about finding value where they need to. The search will start on defense, where needs exist at linebacker, which is in dire need of a playmaker, and corner, even with the return of Bashaud Breeland. Having a reliable edge rusher opposite Frank Clark wouldn’t be too bad either.

On offense, there are a couple of areas the Chiefs can go. The interior offensive line could use some work, as was evident in the Super Bowl against the 49ers. The class isn’t great, but there will be some options on the third day of the draft. It isn’t a glaring need, but don’t forget about the running back position. Finding, at the very least, some depth would be a good call.

With just a fourth and fifth-round pick on day three, the names on the list might be a little more familiar, but nonetheless, let’s go over some of the targets for the Kansas City Chiefs on day three of the 2020 NFL Draft.
