3. Denzel Mims, WR, Baylor

The Indianapolis Colts have TY Hilton, Zach Pascal, and hopefully, they’ve got something in 2019 second-round pick Parris Campbell.

Besides those guys, and even including those guys, there’s not much to speak of in the passing game for Indy.

Could the Colts move up for another playmaker for Philip Rivers to get the ball to?

That is very much a possibility.

One of the more interesting potential targets for them in the back of the first round is Baylor wide receiver Denzel Mims. Mims put himself in the draft spotlight with a massive performance at the week of Senior Bowl practices in January, which shed more light on the tremendous work he did in his time at Baylor.

He was about a game away from reaching 3,000 career receiving yards at Baylor, and his 28 touchdown catches over the last three seasons are among the best in this year’s class.

If the Colts view their need at outside receiver as substantial enough, it’s possible that Mims would be an ideal target to throw into the mix with the current group in place.

His massive catch radius, top notch speed, and ability to go up and win contested catch situations — especially in the red zone — could be exactly what the Colts need to make a push in 2020.
