Green Bay Packers 7-round 2020 NFL mock draft: The Pack trade back
Round 7/236 – Reggie Corbin, RB, Illinios
While running back isn’t necessarily a need for the Packers at the moment, adding a young talent in the 2020 NFL Draft could make sense when you take into account the expiring contracts of Aaron Jones and Jamaal Williams.
A late-round player that could add some value as a potential third-down option in Green Bay is former Illini standout, Reggie Corbin. An elusive back with legit speed, Corbin’s draft stock suffered quite a bit after a significant drop off in his production as a senior. His yardage was nearly cut in half from 2018 to 2019, and while that is certainly cause for concern, Corbin showcased plenty of what he brings to the table in his time with Illinois.
His ability to make the first defender miss is invaluable at the next level and it could be exactly what makes him a quality target for a team looking to add depth to their backfield.
Round 7/242 – Levonta Taylor, CB, Florida State
To finish off this Green Bay Packers seven-round mock draft, I have them adding some speed and potential at the cornerback position in Levonta Taylor.
Taylor was a huge recruit coming out of high school and looked to be on the path to being a high draft pick in his first couple of seasons at FSU. Unfortunately, injuries and several scheme changes throughout his career have torpedoed his draft stock.
The good news is, his athleticism and early tape should still give him a shot at being drafted on Day-3. Taylor is a willing tackler, has some quick feet and shows glimpses of ball skills that could lead to him being a nickel safety option at the next level. He would be a nice pick to close things out for the Green Bay Packers.
