With the 2020 NFL Draft just days away, this Green Bay Packers seven-round mock draft highlights players who could make an immediate impact this season.

After nearly making it to the Super Bowl in Matt LaFleur’s first season as head coach, the Green Bay Packers should be expecting another potential run in 2020. With Aaron Rodgers still playing at a high level and the defense making huge strides last year, Green Bay looks to be just a few key pieces away from having a complete contender.

That being said, their holes are pretty glaring and need to be addressed in the 2020 NFL Draft. Not only do they have an obvious need at the wide receiver position, but they lost some significant names in free agency too. Jimmy Graham, Bryan Bulaga and Blake Martinez all found new homes this offseason, and while the Packers did fill a couple of those losses by bringing in Christian Kirksey and Rick Wagner on short, team-friendly deals, I still expect those positions to be addressed when the virtual draft festivities finally kick-off on Thursday.

With 10 picks at their disposal, the Green Bay Packers have a great opportunity to find some immediate contributors for the upcoming season and that draft capital allows for some potential trade opportunities as well. In fact, that’s exactly how this Green Bay Packers seven-round mock draft kicks things off.

Round 2/34 – Brandon Aiyuk, WR, Arizona State (Trade with Indy)

The Packers find themselves in an interesting position in the 2020 NFL draft, as their biggest need happens to be at the deepest position group in this class. That being said, Green Bay doesn’t pick until 30th overall and there are a handful of wide receiver needy teams picking before them.

Keeping that in mind, if the board doesn’t fall the way the Packers hope, they could look to trade out of the first-round and still land a receiver, while also helping out their positioning in a later round. One potential trade partner that makes sense could be the Indianapolis Colts, who traded away their first-round pick for DeForest Buckner this offseason.

So in this seven-round Green Bay Packers mock draft, I have them making a trade that sends their 30th and 94th overall picks to the Colts for the 34th and 75th picks.

After the Colts inevitably take Jordan Love to be the future behind Philip Rivers, the Packers are still able to land themselves a first-round talent at wide receiver in Brandon Aiyuk out of Arizona State.

Aiyuk is a great fit in LaFleur’s system and could immediately make a difference in that offense in 2020. He has great hands and specializes in making things happen after the catch, which the Packers desperately need. He is also a dangerous return man and could fill that role in Green Bay as well.

This scenario would be a huge win for the Packers.
