The Atlanta Falcons currently sit with the 16th overall pick in the 2020 NFL Draft. If they were to trade-up in the first round, who are some potential targets for Atlanta?

Ever since the Super Bowl run that resulted in the infamous 28-3 blown lead to the New England Patriots, the Atlanta Falcons have dealt with a few mediocre seasons that haven’t lived up to expectations. On paper, this roster has playoff run written all over them, however, injuries and many disappointing performances, both by the guys on the field and the ones behind the playsheet, have kept them outside the playoff picture.

Matt Ryan is the aging quarterback that has led the Atlanta Falcons for over a decade now. With Ryan nearing the end of his productive years, the Atlanta Falcons must go all-in to push for a Super Bowl title before Ryan’s play regresses with his age.

Atlanta Falcons’ general manager, Thomas Dimitrioff, is sitting in a very hot seat this season alongside head coach, Dan Quinn. Atlanta has the talent to make a run in the playoffs every season and there has been little sign that these two can get the Atlanta Falcons over the hump as they did in 2016.

There have been rumors of Atlanta being interested in moving up in the first round of the 2020 NFL Draft. The front office staff may look to put all their chips out on the table to take one of the top talents in this year’s class. Here, I will break down a couple of potential targets the Atlanta Falcons may be looking to acquire by moving up in the 2020 NFL Draft.
