Pick Analysis. Boise State. Scouting Report. Offensive Tackle. Ezra Cleveland. 21. player. 53

As a Browns fan, this absolutely kills me to write. Although I am a die-hard Cleveland fan, I must say, I am not a Cleveland fan. Ezra Cleveland that is.

I don’t hate the idea of trading down from 10 to accumulate more draft picks, something that seems inevitable with this analytical front office. But I think Josh Jones is home run in this scenario and Cleveland is just a base hit.

No matter how much I dislike it, this seems to be the most likely scenario for general manager Andrew Berry, head coach Kevin Stefanski, Paul DePodesta and the Browns front office.

Ezra Cleveland is a fine prospect, who I would have no problem with a little later in the draft. He moves very well and has some sound pass protection sets. I just don’t see the upside. He has very short arms for a tackle and lacks the power to be a real people mover.

Josh Jones has longer arms, is much more dominant as a blocker, still moves well and the analytics-based site, Pro Football Focus rated him as one of the top pass protectors in the league.

We will see how it plays out on draft night, but since this 2020 NFL Mock Draft is supposed to be all about prediction, I have to guess Cleveland to Cleveland at this point.

player. Pick Analysis. Linebacker. Oklahoma. Kenneth Murray. 22. 26. Scouting Report

The Baltimore Ravens come up in the 2020 NFL Mock Draft, right behind their division rivals, and address a huge need on their roster. Kenneth Murray will be the inside linebacker that Baltimore is severely lacking right now.

I have seen the Ravens linked more to LSU linebacker Patrick Queen, but NFL teams love Murray and I think he is a great fit with the Baltimore defense. Murray excels playing downhill, shooting gaps, blitzing on passing downs and making plays in the backfield.

Murray isn’t the most polished coverage linebacker, but he is improving and can always find a way to impact the play. Playing in an attacking 3-4 scheme like Baltimore’s, Murray could be able to focus on playing around the line of scrimmage and being himself while his running mate handles the majority of the coverage duties early in his career until he becomes a very well-rounded and dynamic linebacker in the NFL.
