16. Wide Receiver. LSU. 54. Scouting Report. Pick Analysis. Justin Jefferson. player

Yet another receiver and yet another trade back for the Cleveland Browns in the 2020 NFL Mock Draft.

With the wide receivers going fast, the Philadelphia Eagles biggest position of need, Howie Roseman decided to make a move. It is rumored that Roseman loves CeeDee Lamb as well and could trade up with the Browns directly at 10 to get him. But here, the Browns are okay with moving back twice to get to 21 and the Eagles get their receiver.

Justin Jefferson has been an underrated prospect throughout this entire draft process and is finally starting to creep his way up the draft board.

Many view Jefferson simply has another slot receiver, but he is much more than that. He can line up inside or outside, is a very impressive route runner and started being utilized more as a down-the-field weapon late in the 2019 season.

Carson Wentz would have killed to have a guy like Jefferson last season. A reliable target that is capable of creating big plays, Jefferson can become a quarterback’s best friend.

It seems like it is wide receiver or bust for the Philadelphia Eagles and Howie Roseman. If they don’t get one of the top four receivers in the class, either by trading up or at 21, I would expect them to trade back.

Some people have mocked linebackers Patrick Queen and Kenneth Murray to the Eagles in the first round, but given Roseman’s history of drafting (or not drafting) linebackers, I’d be shocked if that was the pick. I would be pleasantly surprised, however, as that is a very clear position of need for Philly.
