Tristan Wirfs. 11. Scouting Report. Pick Analysis. Offensive Tackle. 30. Iowa. player

Joe Douglas and the New York Jets have quite a few options with the 11th pick of the 2020 NFL Mock Draft. A receiver has yet to come off the board, they have two talented tackle prospects to chose from, they have a need for an edge rusher and have been linked to K’Lavon Chaisson or they could opt to trade back.

However, it sounds like the New York Jets prefer to take a tackle at 11. Which one remains to be seen, but I believe Tristan Wirfs is the best fit for them at this spot in the 2020 NFL Mock Draft.

The Jets aren’t exactly locked in at any particular spot on their offensive line, but they did give George Fant a good amount of money to come in and presumably play left tackle. Wirfs saw time at both left and right tackle at Iowa, but primarily played on the right side in college and likely will on the pros as well.

Wirfs vaulted up draft boards after an incredibly impressive combine performance. He moves very, very well for a man his size and is an all-around force in the run game. He could use some polish as a pass-protecting tackle but shows the tools are there to develop.

If worst comes to worst, the New York Jets could move Wirfs inside to guard, where he is a sure-fire starting-caliber player right away.
