2020 NFL Mock Draft: Three rounds with latest rumors and predictions
We have another trade for a cornerback! It is with near certainty that the Cleveland Browns and their analytical front office will be trading back out of the 10th pick. The question is, who will come up and for which prospect?
In this 2020 NFL Mock Draft, the Atlanta Falcons make a move to fill their biggest hole in their roster. After the Jags trade up for Okudah, they had one less competitor for C.J. Henderson, but couldn’t wait around and take a chance.
There were still multiple other teams with needs in the secondary that could have snagged Henderson and left Atlanta out to dry. So the Falcons leap them up to 10 and take a guy that many argue is the best man corner in the entire 2020 NFL Mock Draft.
Henderson is long, physical, athletic and has great ball skills. His tackling leaves a little to be desired, but that is almost expected with top cover corners these days. People are pleasantly surprised when they see a corner who can tackle effectively, rather than expecting that ability out of every defender on the field.
The Falcons have also been rumored to like Javon Kinlaw and could trade up for him as well. With some injury concerns, they may not have to. Atlanta has frequently been mocked LSU edge rusher K’Lavon Chaisson, but I think Henderson (or Okudah) is their guy, giving them a true shutdown corner on the outside.
