We are just over 48 hours until the 2020 NFL Draft begins, and the rumor mill is swirling off the charts. One of the teams with the most buzz? The Miami Dolphins of course! With three picks in the first round, the Dolphins have been a part of crazy trade scenarios and speculation of who will be donning the green and orange with their first pick at five overall.
Over the last couple of weeks, it’s been all over the place. The decision between Tua Tagovailoa and Justin Herbert seemed like one where the Dolphins were comfortable with either, and now that we’re drawing closer, Herbert seems less and less likely the selection. There are rumors swirling about how it could actually be a tackle at five and then Utah State’s Jordan Love at 18.
Whatever way you slice it, the Dolphins have a ton of draft capital, which means we are likely to see a trade up at some points. They have six picks in the top 70, which is plenty to move up where they choose, potentially more than once in the draft.
Whether it be at the top of the draft, late in the first round, early in the second, or even moving up in the early third round, the Dolphins will move up at some point.
