While this post has primarily focused on potential targets the New York Giants could trade up for, the Giants are considered “open for business” when it comes to trading back in the first round. With both the Dolphins and Chargers potentially looking to move up for Tua Tagovailoa or Justin Herbert, the Giants could be a more suitable trade partner than the Redskins or Lions.

The Giants could consider moving back one to two spots as the Dolphins and Chargers enter a potential game of quarterback leapfrog and add a day two pick to their draft haul. A decision to move down in the top 10 would still give the Giants options between the draft’s premier tackles and the Giants could use the additional pick to target a receiver, center, or safety prospect including Antoine Winfield Jr. or recent draft riser, Jeremy Chinn.

The Giants could also find a suitable partner in the Las Vegas Raiders, who could offer multiple first-round selections in an attempt to jump the Dolphins and Chargers for Tagovailoa.

While a trade down to 12th overall would no longer give the Giants the first choice of offensive tackles, one of Wirfs, Thomas, Wills Jr. or Mekhi Becton would likely still be in play for the Giants. The Giants would then have several options at 19 between the players mentioned earlier or potential pass rusher K’Lavon Chaisson.
