2020 NFL Draft: Final mock draft with shocking picks and big trades
The Kansas City Chiefs could do what most people expect here and take a cornerback or defensive player, but why not have a little bit of fun?
Although D’Andre Swift is still on the board and is probably the superior prospect from a featured runner standpoint, Clyde Edwards-Helaire might be the best fit at the running back position for Andy Reid’s offense in the 2020 NFL Draft.
One of the best — maybe the best — backs in the draft at breaking tackles, Edwards-Helaire is a nightmare in the passing game for opposing defenses.
He’s one of the best receiving backs in the draft and showed that by catching 55 passes this past season.
Because he was a one-year starter at LSU, there’s a lot of miles left for Edwards-Helaire, and putting this guy with Patrick Mahomes and the rest of the crew the Chiefs have offensively is flat out unfair.
