2020 NFL Draft: Final mock draft with shocking picks and big trades
There’s no drama here.
The Cincinnati Bengals are taking the Ohio native whose senior season at LSU is one of the greatest — and probably stands alone as the greatest — season ever put together by a college quarterback.
Even in an era where passers are king, Burrow’s 2019 season was one for the ages as he threw for 5,671 yards and 60 touchdowns with only six interceptions.
It was like watching poetry in motion every week as Burrow would use his athleticism to avoid pressure, make accurate throws to all levels of the field, and use his underrated mobility to absolutely drive defenses nuts for 60 minutes.

Burrow is a potential franchise-altering player if he continues to improve at the rate he was this past year at LSU, but there has to be at least some level of concern about the fact that no one was even talking about this guy going into his final year at LSU.
Players get better, but Burrow’s ascent in 2019 was one of the wildest glow-ups we have ever seen from a prospect.
The Bengals can’t worry too much about whether Burrow is a one-year wonder or not. He’s the top QB in this draft and they desperately need a future at the position.
