2020 NFL Draft: Final mock draft with shocking picks and big trades
The Cowboys probably have other plans for this pick besides a wide receiver, but sometimes your plans change quickly.
If Henry Ruggs is still on the board here, which at times has seemed incredibly doubtful, the Cowboys would have to think seriously about making this pick.
Ruggs is a different type of playmaker the Cowboys currently don’t have. He’s got the ability to play inside as a slot or out wide and win with all kinds of speed to every level of the field.
Back shoulder throws? Can’t guard this guy.
Deep downfield? No one can stay with him.
Deep crosses? Good luck.
Ruggs has Tyreek Hill type of play speed and that’s extremely rare. He would be a tremendous weapon for Dak Prescott and the Cowboys to try and simply outscore as many teams as possible.
