The 2020 NFL Draft has a ton of talent on the edge, with the Big Ten stacking the top and the SEC joining in to form nearly the entire top 10 rankings.

It’s pretty clear that the most important position in football today is the quarterback. Next? A guy that can get after and pressure the other team’s passer. The 2020 NFL Draft has no shortage of talent and potential on the edge.

While the 2020 NFL Draft edge class is deep with talent and upside, there aren’t many sure things. Outside of the presumptive best defensive player in the draft, Chase Young, every edge rusher has their share of question marks.

It will be very interesting to see how these edge prospects pan out a few years down the road. Many prospects have a ton of talent and potential but will have to find the right situation in order to reach their ceilings.

Guys like K’Lavon Chaisson, A.J. Epenesa, Zack Baun, Bradlee Anae and Darrell Taylor are very polarizing prospects with sky-high ceilings. But they could also have very low floors. Fit and usage will be incredibly important for these types of players that exist throughout the 2020 NFL Draft.

I am also curious to see how teams weigh upside and potential versus risk in terms of where these players will be selected in the 2020 NFL Draft. Will teams value the tools and flashes that these guys display and take them early? Or will the risk and question marks come to the forefront, causing them to fall a bit?

In this article, we will take a look at how I rank, and more importantly how I see these 30 prospects as NFL players. I will start by separating them into 4-3 defensive ends and 3-4 outside linebackers, then I will go into detail on each prospect and rank all 30 of them as edge rushers in general.
