TCU. Jeff Gladney . player. 60. Scouting Report. Pick Analysis. Cornerback. 25

With the first, first-round pick, the Minnesota Vikings took a wide receiver to replace Stefon Diggs. Now with their second, first-round pick, they select TCU corner Jeff Gladney who used to cover Mims in the BIG 12. Xavier Rhodes took a major step back in 2019, forcing the hand of the Vikings brass to release him this offseason. Additionally, they lost Trae Waynes to the Bengals in free agency. Gladney is a smooth player who will pair well with 2018, first-round pick in Mike Hughes.

Offensive Tackle . Houston. Josh Jones. 26. player. 59. Scouting Report. Pick Analysis

With the pick they received from the Houston Texans in the Laremy Tunsil trade, the Miami Dolphins use their final first-round to select University of Houston offensive tackle Josh Jones, as they continue to beef up their offensive line. Trading Tunsil was a hard choice but ultimately the right one for the growth of the franchise. While Jones is still a bit raw, he moves well in space and has the strength to become one of the better tackles out of the 2020 NFL Draft class.

Defensive Line. Iowa. A.J. Epenesa. 27. player. Scouting Report. Pick Analysis. 36

Although he didn’t quite put up the same numbers that he did in Houston, Jadeveon Clowney made his presence felt during his stay in Seattle. That said, it doesn’t look like he’ll be back in town for the 2020 season. And with 2019 first-rounder L.J Collier not providing much of an impact during his rookie campaign, the Seattle Seahawks could address the edge again in the 2020 NFL Draft.

A.J. Epenesa may have underwhelmed with his athletic testing numbers, but he still remains one of the better talents in this class. Offering scheme versatility and pure power, Epenesa could be a potent weapon for Ken Norton Jr’s defense.

Oklahoma. 26. Scouting Report. Linebacker. Kenneth Murray . 28. player. Pick Analysis

Saturday the Baltimore Ravens signed former Jaguars and Packers linebacker Jake Ryan in an attempt to bulk up their depleted linebacker room. With the loss of C.J Mosely in 2019 and the departures of Patrick Onwuasor and Josh Bynes this offseason, the Ravens are in a prime spot to take a linebacker early in the 2020 NFL Draft.

Murray is a plug and play starter, who offers great sideline-to-sideline range and plus tackling ability, who can be a fixture in Baltimore’s defense for a long time.

Offensive Tackle . Ezra Cleveland . player. 35. Scouting Report. Pick Analysis. Bosie State. 29

The Tennessee Titans surprised many in 2019 with their late playoff push, and look poised for another run in 2020. The Titans didn’t suffer a great deal turnover this offseason, as tackle Jack Conklin was their biggest overall loss.  While they’ll need to address other positions in the 2020 NFL Draft such as tight end and corner, here they replace Conklin with Boise State offensive tackle Ezra Cleveland. As a late riser in the 2020 NFL Draft, Cleveland is a bit of an athletic projection, but his movement skills in pass sets may be worth the risk here at 29.

ASU. 30. Scouting Report. Wide Receiver . Brandon Aiyuk . player. 49. Pick Analysis

In 2018, the Green Bay Packers spent three picks on wide receivers, who have made little impact since then. Outside of Davante Adams and Allen Lazard, quarterback Aaron Rodgers has very little to work with. To fix this, I have them selecting ASU receiver Brandon Aiyuk to be Rodgers’ slot option going forward.

After N’Keal Harry departed for the NFL, Aiyuk became “the guy” for the Sun Devils, showing great vertical speed and great run-after-the-catch ability. Getting Aiyuk in the late first round of the 2020 NFL Draft could really open things up for that Green Bay offense.

Alabama. Trevon Diggs. 31. 42. Cornerback . Pick Analysis. player. Scouting Report

Richard Sherman isn’t going to be around forever, and the depth the San Francisco 49ers have behind him isn’t stellar either. So with their final first-round pick of the 2020 NFL Draft, the 49ers beef up their secondary with Alabama corner Trevon Diggs.

Diggs is a big, long-limbed corner who, despite playing the position full-time for a short while, he displays great ball skills and shows a knack for reading routes. Diggs can start day one across from Sherman, given Robert Saleh’s defense some much-needed stability in the secondary

player. Scouting Report. Pick Analysis. Cornerback. Utah. Jaylon Johnson. 32. 124

The Super Bowl-winning Kansas City Chiefs have some re-tooling to do in the defensive secondary this offseason. They lost Kendall Fuller who went back to the Washington Redskins, leaving their top corners as Bashaud Breeland, Charvarius Ward and Rashad Fenton.

With a need for a true number one corner, Kansas City selects Utah corner Jaylon Johnson with the final pick first-round pick in the 2020 NFL Draft. Johnson is a sticky corner who plays a fairly aggressive brand of football. While he does come with some durability concerns, Johnson has the ceiling to be a solid number one for a long time.
