In my final 2020 NFL mock draft, one of the most polarizing prospects in the 2020 NFL Draft falls to one of the top teams in the NFL.

The 2020 NFL Draft is only days away and the anticipation is escalating as rumors are swirling. One report suggested that the media mock drafts are way more off than usual and there will be big surprises and NFL Network’s Daniel Jeremiah as an explanation for that.

So nobody really knows what these scouts and teams are thinking with this unusual and unprecedented draft process. There have been some smoke screens thrown out there with several teams in the top 10, but it has been more difficult to determine what is real and what is fake.

There have been multiple rumors thrown out there that the Dolphins prefer Oregon quarterback Justin Herbert over Tua Tagovailoa due to some injury concerns for the Alabama quarterback. Some reports suggest that some teams have him completely off their board, but again it’s hard to figure out what is factual these days.

There’s also been numerous trade speculation with two particular teams looking to move down. The Detroit Lions and New York Giants have done their due diligence with teams looking to move up, but it’s anyone’s guess if anything will materialize before or during the 2020 NFL Draft. Giants general manager Dave Gettleman did say he’ll like to have any trade parameters done before they are on the clock Thursday.

With that being said there are a couple of teams who are rumored to be trying to jump into the top 10. The Denver Broncos are a team to watch as they seek one of the top three wideouts in this draft as well as the Atlanta Falcons who could be targeting Florida cornerback C.J. Henderson. Henderson’s draft stock has risen tremendously in the past week or so. A couple of teams that could trade back are the Jacksonville Jaguars (unlikely) and the Cleveland Browns (more likely).

There have been some late reports suggesting the Browns could value Boise State offensive tackle Ezra Cleveland the same way they do the other top tackles in this class. So a trade down with Denver could make sense in that regard. As for the Jaguars, I do not see them moving down from number nine overall unless they are overwhelmed with an offer.

There will be some surprises in this mock draft with some highly regarded prospects dropping just a bit. There’s also a couple of trades in here, but nothing too crazy. I tried to make this as realistic as possible being this is my final mock draft before the 2020 NFL Draft kicks off on Thursday.

Just a reminder that this mock draft was completed with the help of The Draft Network’s mock draft machine
