Davion Taylor, LB, Colorado

The linebacker position is not the most immediate need for the Los Angeles Chargers, but they could certainly use some depth at the position. I would be surprised if they left the 2020 NFL Draft without at least taking a flyer at the position.

Here, we are going to focus on Davion Taylor, an exciting late-round linebacker prospect out of Colorado. Taylor is a former All-Pac 12 sprinter whose speed translates extremely well to the football field. He is certainly a bit undersized (6-foot, 228 pounds) and he lacks ideal on-field awareness at the position, but Taylor can absolutely fly and has a ton of natural upside at the next level.

Taylor could quickly grow into an impact defensive playmaker from the linebacker position, but at worst, his speed and athleticism should make him an asset on special teams.

Tyrie Cleveland, WR, Florida

Last, but not least, we are going to look at the wide receiver position for the Los Angeles Chargers. Keenan Allen and Mike Williams form a strong starting duo for this team, but they desperately lack depth at the position. Wide receiver is likely an early-round need for this team, but the Chargers could also look to double-dip at the position.

Tyrie Cleveland is not the most nuanced route-runner, but he has a nice combination of speed and size that will play at the next level. Cleveland is a legitimate deep threat on the outside and shows an impressive overall catch radius. He also has soft hands and was an asset on the kick coverage team in college. Cleveland stands out as an obvious target for the Chargers late in the 2020 NFL Draft.
